Bharat Group of Colleges has been founded under the aegis of Mahavir Educational & Charitable Trust (Regd.), Sardulgarh. The Institute has been built in peaceful surroundings in village Khaira Khurd which is at a distance of 6KMs. from Sardulgarh Town. The Institute is spread over 14 Acre land with lush green lawns, modern buildings and infrastructure.

MECT, today, is a knowledge powerhouse and a brand name in higher education. The Institution is approved by AICTE, New Delhi, Punjab Govt. and Affiliated to Maharaja Ranjit Singh Punjab Technical University, Bathinda. BGC is ISO 9001-2008 certified. The Institute aims at providing technical & Professional education to the students so that they may get gainful employment after completion of their study. The main thrust of the Institute is to develop the professional skills of the students so that they may face the tough competition in their life.

The Institute runs undergraduate technical B.Tech. Degree courses in the disciplines of Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Post Graduate courses in Management, Information Technology and Science like Master of Business Administration (MBA) with dual specialization (HR, Finance, Marketing & IT), M.Sc. (I.T.), M.Sc. (Mathematics) and PGDCA. The institute also runs other undergraduate Professional courses like BCA, BBA, B.Sc. (IT), B.Sc. (Non-Medical) and B.Com. (Honors). The institute also runs 2 years, ETT (Elementary Teacher Training) program which is approved by NCERT, Jaipur and affiliated to SCERT, Punjab.
